They've been there from the start. I'll miss their Chicken Roti's

^I will miss the chicken roti too. Also, they are one of the only places that made aloo pie in Winnipeg.

Try Famous Famena's. A true hole in the wall in the bottom of a parkade with old school bar seating. The owner and his wife grill and troll each other the entire time you're there. Its quite good free entertainment. Their Roti is the best imo, and their hot sauce is killer.

I know it's more fast casual than most roti shops but I really like Taste of Sri Lanka.

If I am not mistaken that was an old style Salsbury House location years ago before they closed all their smaller locations.

New Wendy's Henderson Hwy

The former Triple B's site at 1873 Henderson has passed zoning for a Wendy's restaurant with Drive-Thru, assuming they will demolish old building

Had some great time at Triple Bs back in the late 90s and 2000s. Sad to see it has close and will now be replaced with yet another Yankee fast food outlet.

Just checking Street View. I didn't actually realize Triple B's was still open as late as 2018? Did the pandemic put the final nail in? I haven't been to there in probably same time frame you mention.

Yeah same here. It was a place I went to in my youth, but haven't been back in around 20 years or so, same for the Villa. I had no idea Triple Bs was shut down for the last several years.

Triple B's Closed on Apr 27, 2022, I'm sure the pandemic put the final nail in the coffin

We're of the same vintage. Graduated high school in early 2000's. I went to the villa recently. Basically it's owned now by one of the boys or something like that. They got rid of the stripper pole haha

Mid 90s for me. The mint green decor of Villa was so bad it was good. And the stripper pole! Oh, the memories..............

SHO Coffee & Bar, in the old Miss Brown's on William, seems to have finally gotten its liquor licence. Went there yesterday for a late night sandwich, and it was doing quite well for itself.
