Didn’t expect this to dissolve into the battle of landmarks- but this has been an entertaining discussion. Anyone else like to share their list ?

I get what you are saying, but the Calgary tower is an appallingly poor substitute for the Space Needle.

For night time View with lights on, Dallas is the best.

Perhaps the Space Needle is more recognizable even if the Arch is more unique. And for us West Coasters, Seattle is a more likely travel destination whereas very few would even think of visiting St Louis.
Yeah I asked a well-traveled friend of mine from Bangledesh and he recognized the Space Needle since he's been to Seattle but not the arch. Sorry STL

Probably location bias. Any Chicagoland SSPer can probably tie homebucket’s Northern California sample by confirming that three random people among their acquaintances happen to be aware of the St. Louis Arch but not the Seattle Needle.

Got this shot a few weeks ago when my friend drove us to Coney Island to ride the Cyclone. It's the dominant #1 at this point and it isn't even close.
