Hot yesterday, hot today and hot tomorrow. Should see 38c today and the next couple days, potentially flirting with 40c. Lots of wildfires around, we are expecting a cool down starting Wednesday.
Okanagan Lake has been giving some relief from the heat lately…she sure is looking good.
Lakes clearly still affected by Tuesday's rain. I was on Huron today and clarity was not great at all. Those mushrooms do indeed look fake and super cool.
Mix of sun and cloud and 26 (humidex 30, dew point 16) at 11:30am. Highs near 27 this afternoon, though things will cloud over later today. Much less humid again today, air is very comfortable.
Temperatures will cool off slightly for the upcoming week, as we fall to more seasonal temperatures. Mix of sun and cloud and highs in the low to mid 20s for the upcoming week.
Not weather related, but, I was just looking out my upstairs window and, in the maple tree just outside the window I spotted both a Cardinal and a Flicker at the same time. Very neat. The Cardinal was singing it's guts out.
I've had a pair of resident Cardinals in my back yard all summer. Normally they are considered rare in Moncton, but, they seem to be more common over the last few years. I presume this is due to global warming.

Up until 6 or 7 years ago, I had never seen or heard a Cardinal in Halifax. Now I regularly hear their distinctive calls all over the city, at least in the suburban areas where there is substantial tree cover. I also have some resident Cardinals that I hear all the time and occasionally see around my home.

I have a few groups of Cardinals on my street in Aylmer. It seems like there are more here than there were when I moved into the place in 2007.
Dripping sweat while deep cleaning. It's been so hot and humid that my house smelled off when I came home from brunch. I'm even washing out the garbage cans, lol.
