It's because one of the food banks is across the street. If you eliminate that, this probably won't be an issue. I don't want to hurt the homeless people in the area by closing Oak Table because they do good work, but that's one of the major reasons why.

The property at 159 Scott Street (former E-Mart Groceries) is no longer listed on Realtor.ca, so I'm assuming it has sold. The burned-out building was listed for sale for $100,000. The real estate ad noted that the City was supportive of a mixed-use building on the property. Hopefully something new gets built there soon.

guess i better prepare to eat crow as there is now a drill rig and crane on site on the infamous lot south of 257 osborne. let's see what we end up with now!
