Been at least 8 years since I waded the Credit. But that's where I learned the trade. The Credit and its tribs in Caledon, Brampton and Mississauga. Well, there and the Etobicoke Creek. Now you got me wondering if I should make another run up the river. Maybe Bronte instead of Sixteen Mile. Man, if I had time I'd venture farther out but time is at a premium.
Yeah fair enough. Yes, I as well learned from there. Although it's not on my list any time soon, I'm going to try and wade the Don once they finish rebuilding the lower valley trails next to the DVP, near Queen/Bloor.
I'm also going to make a little event next year that requires visitors to wade the Credit (It's geocaching, they'll do it) to attend, and we'll see if anyone takes the easier route. It'll be set up on one of the river islands you can find on the Credit, this one being under Burnamthorpe, by Riverwood.

Yeah, Bronte would be nice. I'd love to do a trip there this time of year.

I've never set foot in the Don. One day I will have to make it out that way, but preferably off the beaten path where there's almost no one else. And some tribs. I recall that it was newsworthy when salmon were seen in the tribs of the Don as far north as Richmond Hill. The effort to clean up that river paid off.

The best salmon run I know of around here are in Bowmanville Creek and the Ganaraska in Port Hope. It's not the red coloured sockeye salmon runs in BC but still a sight to behold.

9C and mainly cloudy. It is 5C and rainy right now. I am impressed by how cold it is.

Low of 3C this morning. Coldest morning yet.

The warmspot was Milk River, AB at 24.7C.

Warmest low was Sable Island, NS at 12.9C.

Holy cow, that's a lot of fish! Jesus. That looks like a very enjoyable venture and place to sight see.

3C and mostly cloudy in Moncton at 8 AM, only getting as warm as 7C this afternoon. It will cloud over with showers this afternoon, lasting overnight, which may protect Moncton from entering the freeze list. The overnight low is expected to be +1C. Other locations in eastern Canada seem to be at greater risk.
