The former McCamly Plaza Hotel is slated to have its $59-million makeover complete by the third quarter of 2023. Battle Creek Unlimited and its affiliate, 50 Capital Ave. Development Corp., revealed plans Monday for the overhaul of the 265,000-square foot complex in downtown Battle Creek. The hotel has been closed since 2019. It will be a bit sad to see McCamley Place demolished as part of the process to convert the complex into a DoubleTree by Hilton. Hopefully the new digs will be worth it.

Kalamazoo -
The revamped Banks Street Farmers Market reopens this May to vendors and patrons. Work will still be ongoing while the market season rolls on. I'm interpreting this to mean that construction is behind-schedule, but the city cannot (or does not wish to) do another season at Mayors' Riverfront Park -
