Interesting. I never knew / heard that. It's somewhere in that general vicinity, depending on how it is measured. The sign post in my avatar image is taken along the
Portage Creek Bicentennial Park Trail, where it crosses under I-94 (in-between S Westnedge Ave & Lovers Ln). That's about 2-3 miles west of Sprinkle Rd.
