Another (small) mixed-use development, potentially coming to the west side of downtown. Would consist of (2) 3-story buildings, each with 2 floors of commercial space and a top floor of apartment units. 18 market-units total. It would replace a closed auto shop at 615 W. Kalamazoo Ave. A combination of tax credits and incentives could be applied.

KALAMAZOO, MI -- A Kalamazoo developer is receiving incentives to build offices and 18 market-rate apartments northwest of downtown. Developer 615 Holdings LLC plans to redevelop a property formerly used as an auto body repair shop at 615 W. Kalamazoo Ave. The $4 million project would replace an existing structure with two three-story buildings, each totaling 12,000 square feet, and is expected to create 20-24 full-time jobs. The project received support from city and Kalamazoo County brownfield redevelopment authorities.
