They were planning on building a terminal at YHU a few years ago, but it never got off the ground for some reason. Would be pretty easy to link to AMT/Via line as well.

In the same article it says they plan to double their fleet and add more cities. If they're planning to expand they must be doing well enough.

Not necessarily. Pretty much all airlines start out with limited service and plans to expand later. Most fail before the expansion phase, which will likely happen to NewLeaf.

Actually down to only one flight per week after the end of October.

YUL only I think. "Major Montreal announcement" sounds directed towards YUL, plus the announcement is made in Montreal. I could be wrong though.

My money's on 3x weekly YUL-PEK service. To compliment CA and make it a daily affair.

AC has come a long way at YUL in the last 10 years. And to think they only served LHR, FRA and CDG back in 2008. Now we are in the double digit number of international destinations out of YUL, and counting....

I thought that because I was dumb and didn't read the header on the press release that stated it was a major Montreal announcement.

YUL-PEK is my guess.

Mine as well, but they are saying MAJOR announcement.

Seems to me launching 3x weekly service to a destination already served isn't major enough, no?

It would be sweet if both PEK and PVG were launched.

With Chinese carriers completely maxed out on the bilateral with Canada (save for a few slots held by HU), this is AC's chance to step up and establish itself in the next logical unserved markets.

I wonder if this only includes an announcement for China or if the long awaited YUL BEY flight will be announced also.
