Toowoomba is a city and Local Government Area in the far southeast of Queensland, and located 132 km west of Brisbane, the state's capital city.
Toowoomba's urban area is Australia's second largest inland urban centre, and the metropolitan area the nation's 15th largest at 121,612 (2006). Greater Toowoomba includes Toowoomba City, and five other local government areas.
