Itami is home to Osaka International Airport, also known as Itami Airport, which serves as the primary domestic airport for Osaka and the Kansai Region. Although the airport is named after this city, most of the terminal building actually lies in the neighboring city of Toyonaka. High-rise buildings in Itami tend to be capped at around 14 to 15 stories, due to height restrictions related to the airport’s presence.
