Located in the southern quarter of the state, Roswell is a small city with a diverse economy that includes ranching, manufacturing, distribution, and farming among other industries.
Roswell has become internationally known, when in early July of 1947, a UFO (unidentified flying object) was said to have crashed about 75 miles north of the city.
Because of this, Roswell founded the International UFO Museum & Research Center in 1991.
