Marnitz is a tiny municipality in the district of Parchim in the south of Mecklenberg-West Pomerania. A smart part of the municipality actually borders the state of Brandenburg to the south. It is part of the Amt (Office/Administrative Partnership) of Eldenburg Lübz, which includes 16 other municipalities.
The rural district includes Ruhner Berge in the south part of the district, the second-highest mountains in the state.
