Mainhausen is a small community in the Landkreis (District) Offenbach in the southern part of Hesse along the Main. It was created in 1977 with the merger of the cities of Mainflingen and Zellhausen.
Mainflingen is famous for the time signal transmitter DCF77, which works on 77.5 kHz and steers most radio controlled clocks and watches in Europe.
