The town of Hershey lies entirely within the confines of Derry Township and is located in Dauphin County, just east of Harrisburg. Hershey has the nicknames "Chocolatetown U.S.A." and "The Sweetest Place on Earth".

Hershey is home to what is now the world's largest chocolate manufacturing plant. Founded by Milton S. Hershey in 1903, the town is well known for it's lavish gardens, resorts, and amusement park. Milton Hershey also financed the Penn State University Medical Center/Children's Hospital that bears his name today.

Hershey is located in the Harrisburg Metropolitan Area, with a population of over 640,000.
