Gwangju is the largest city in southwestern Korea.
Right next to the city center is Mudeungsan Mountain, which is 1,187 meters long.

It takes about 3 hours and a half from Gwangju to Seoul.
It is a city famous for its history of democratic protests against the oppression of military dictatorship in the past.

Major downtown areas include Chungjang-ro, Sangmu, Gwangcheon, and Suwan.
