Description
This was a plan for a monument to the United Nations in San Francisco. Meetings that planned the creation of the United Nations were held in San Francisco from April to May of 1945 just before the end of World War II.

When Alcatraz closed in 1963, there were many proposals floated as to what to do with the former prison site. In the end, the prison was preserved.
