• The Old Church of Borne, in the Dutch province of Overijssel, is a late Gothic style church building.
• The oldest part dates probably from 1350.
• The church is single-naval.
• The choir of the church dates from the first half of the 15th century.
• The extension of the striking ship with two equally high-ships took place in 1482.
• A number of murals that were found during the restoration of the church between 1919 and 1921 were also from that year.
• The oldest bell in the bell tower dates from 1457.
• The pulpit of Bentheimerstraat sandstone was probably manufactured around 1600. The current church is from 1841 and was designed by Johann Heinrich Holt Grave from Deventer.
• The church was then dedicated to St. Stephen, but was at the time of the Reformation under the influence of Christopher Scheele of Weleveld (1528-1606) was a Lutheran clergyman appointed Johan Niehof. In 1598 were ordered by the taskmaster of Twente, Johan van Voorst, to be removed images and altars from the church, as in the rest of Twente. Scheles eventually had to bow to the Classis of Deventer and was Borne in the seventeenth century Calvinist pastors.
