Description • The James of Zeerijp dates from the middle of the 14th century. The church has a detached bell tower, built in the first half of the 15th century. In the church romano Gothic and early Gothic elements are to be found.
• Notable in the interior, the red color of the imitation masonry. This colorful pattern is in the restoration in the sixties of the 20th century in the former state. The church holds an organ, which in 1651 built by the organ builder Theodorus Faber. The original organ remains only remnants. Both the cabinet of the organ and the pulpit are made in the mid-17th century by Johan Elder Camp.
• In the church are 11 signs of mourning to the noble families, living around Zeerijp.
• From 1714 to 1737 was John Verschuir, clergyman and mathematician and one of the founders of Pietism as pastor at the church of Zeerijp.
