• The Ewiger Wind Fuhrmann GmbH & Co. KG operates northwest of the city's Kreuztal Littfeld place in a forest located in the border area between Siegen and Sauerland, the wind turbine "Eternal Fuhrmann. With 150 meters in total height was at its completion, the highest wind turbine in the world. Every year, wins the "wind" about 3 million kilowatt hours of electric energy from the wind and cover the needs of 800 average households.

• Wind power plant of the type Vestas V66 on Grevenstein in Siegerland was at the time of completion in December 2000, the highest wind turbine in the world.
