• The Martinus Nijhoffbrug is a important bridge on the route Amsterdam-Maastricht (the A2 Highway) in the center of the netherlands were it crosses the river Waal.
Before this bridge was built, there were traffic jams around the old Waalbrug (Waalbridge) every day. So they decided to build a new one. It's a cable stayed bridge with a span of 256 meter. The pylons are 70 meter high and the bridge has 120 strays.
