Description • Their construction was promoted by Claretian Missionaries. Restored in 2006, it's the tallest church of Peru.
• The church has a great cupola crowned by an image of the Virgin Maria with the opened arms of 10 meters of height, made with resin and fiber glass by the plastic artist arequipeño Freddy Luque Sonco. This was hoisted in January of 2006.
• Until then the cupola had been without an image on top because the original statue of the Virgin made in cement in 1956 turned out to be too heavy for the roof. Years later was placed on a great altar at the end of the Brazil avenue.
