Description
Not to be confused with the Masjid Al Asqa (Al Asqa Mosque), a seperate building near the Dome.

This shrine covers an outcropping of bedrock that is the third holiest place to Muslims. From here, Prophet Muhammad made a journey into heaven and then back to Makkah (Mecca). Built by Caliph Abd al-Malik.
