Description
- SV Zadar is the most powerful transmitter of Croatia, which works on 1134 kHz with a power of 600 kW ( before 1991 1200 kW) and which can be received very well at night in whole Europe. It was built between 1980 and 1984.

- Originally it used an antenna system consisting of
four guyed mast radiators, each 132 metres tall, arranged in a square and a transmitter power of 1200 kW.

- The facility was destroyed in the Croatian Independence War in 1991.

- It was reconstructed after the conquest of Zadar on September 16th, 1991 and went in service again on January 10th, 1992. However only 2 of the four masts were rebuilt and only half of the transmitter was restored. On January 10th, 1992, it went again in service. In 2003/2004 the other two masts were rebuilt. On April 30st, 2004 the antenna was completely restored.

- Notes:
It is possible that the masts built in 2003/2004 may be not of the same type as those built in 1991/92.
The station is very characteristic on European's AM dial. Its outage in 1991 was not overlookable!

- Coordinates: 44°13'54''N 15°14'11''E.
