ICE is participating in the project by the use of three ICE V360 tandem vibratory pile drivers to produce the foundations for the bridge in the middle of Hangzhou Bay. is the designer of the bridge.

- Hangzhou Bay Bridge is an S-shaped stayed-cable bridge linking both sides of the Hangzhou Bay off the eastern coast of China. It was linked up on June 14, 2007, and connects the municipalities of Shanghai and Ningbo in Zhejiang province. The bridge is the longest trans-oceanic bridge in the world with its 36 kilometres long, although it does not have the longest cable-stayed main span, but it is the second-longest bridge in the world after the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway in Louisiana, USA. It has six lanes in both directions and shortens the distance between Shanghai and Ningbo by 120 km. Another two cities benefited with the opening of the viaduct, which will apply for an investment superior to US$ 1,682 billion, rested on 30 % for the private capital, will be the situated ones in his extremes: Jiaxing and Ningbo.

- First preparations for planning the bridge started a decade ago, close to 600 experts spent nine years on designing the Hangzhou Bay Bridge. Chief Commander of the Hangzhou Bay Bridge project is Mr. Wang Yong.

- Jiaxing is situated in heart of the mouth of river Yang Tsé, and the port of Ningbó made into 2007 the biggest second of China and the 4th of the world into flow of goods.

- The viaduct, which construction began on November of 2003 and it has predicted durability of 100 years, it will have collection of toll that will dispose of six lanes (three in each sense) and nearly 40 thousand vehicles will cross it on average in a day. Wang emphasized that there is a longer bridge in Lousiana (USA), but that it crosses a lake, and not the sea. Up to now, the longest viaduct of the world with these characteristics was also in China, in Shanghai, with extension approached 32,5 kilometers. 800 thousand tons of steel were used in the construction of the viaduct. The secretary of the PCCh for Jiaxing, Qiu Dongyao, said the costs should also return like a tourist attraction.
