• Owner and operator: Deutsche Telekom AG.

• Guyed mast for FM-/TV-broadcasting with several decks for directional radio antennas, situated on Grosser Waldstein a mountain at Fichtelgebirge.

• Mast replaced a 47 metres tall temporary transmission mast built in 1960/61 of Deutschen Bundespost for ZDF-Programms in North-east-bayern.

• Between 1963 and 1994 it was used for broadcasting the programmes of RIAS in FM to listeners in Northern Bavaria and especially Southern Thuringia and Southern Saxony.

• From 1980 to 1994 was the FM program of the RIAS 1 on the frequency 89.3 MHz (with 20 kW ERP) emitted. After Germany Kultur.
• From 1964 to 1992 was calculated on the frequency 91.2 MHz (with 20 kW ERP) program RIAS 2, then the Germany radio emitted. Since 1995, uses the Bavarian radio frequency from the transmitter Ochsenkopf for the program Bavaria 1 for the Upper Palatinate.

• Currently, the following FM frequencies emitted:
- Radio Euro Heart and extra-nuclear 88.0 MHz - 5 kW.
- Deutschlandradio Kultur 89.3 MHz - 20 kW.
