Description
This antenna consists of three T-antennas spun between 3 50 metres tall guyed masts. It is since 1998 the broadcasting antenna for mediumwave at Wiederau.

The 236 metres tall J1-mast is only used for FM- and TV-transmission.

At the same site, there was already an antenna of this type with 50 metres tall guyed masts built in the 1950ies.
It was just renewed in 1998, when also new transmission devices for mediumwave were installed at Wiederau.

Antennas like Dreieckflächenantenne Wiederau were built at all larger AM-broadcasting sites in former East Germany in the 1960ies as backup antenna.
