Remarkable telecommunication tower of concrete.

This tower is the third telecommunication tower of FMT 6 type. The others are:

Owner and operator: Deutsche Telekom AG

In the municipality to 'Amerdingen' in the administrative district Danube-Ries in Bavaria. It is to the north of the district of Bollstadt on the elevation rough tub in a height position of 615 m above sea level in the south edge of the Nördlinger-Rieses. Component of a directional radio route from Frankfurt to Munich.

Beside the directional radio traffic and the mobile radio the location serves as a basic net transmitter for the radio program Antenne Bayern (103.3 MHz; 25 kW).

Before this Transmission tower, in the same site, a wooden observation tower was earlier to the land surveying, which had to be broken off, after a military aircraft collided with the tower. Today a monument reminds of five officers who died in this misfortune on the 29th April, 1939.
