Description Architect: Francis Donaldson
There has been some confusion over the height of this building because of the basement floors that are exposed on two sides. Some sources give the height from the ground level on the harbour side of the building, while other sources give the height from the main entrance at the Granville Square level. A model of the building at the entrance of Canada Place states that the height to the top of the facade is 375 feet or 114.3 meters. This is measured from Granville Square. The ground level on the harbour side of the building is 79 feet or 24 meters below Granville Square.
A station for harbour air traffic control is mounted at the top of this building. This structure is included in the "roof" height for the building. The roof of the mechanical penthouse is given as the "lower roof 1" height.
