• A water tower reservior that can hold up to 100,000 litres
• The famous flying saucer shape is inspired by a controversial UFO sighting on January 20, 1996 in Varginha
• One of the principal touristic places of Varginha, a reference to a supposed apparition of ET, which made the famous city also abroad, 380km away of Capital of Minas Gerais - Belo Horizonte. The monument is one of the principal attractions visited by the tourists in the region. The lighting project including playing colors from projectors in white, violet and green from steam metal reactors to immitate a spaceship - flying dish was made by Philips Illumination Company in Brazil, who has a factory in city. Varginha was known in January of 1996, when two sisters and a friend says to becoming a creature humanóide, what mobilized ufologists, authorities and attracted curious people. The idea of raising a monument that was recalling the case came with the necessity of finding a weird form to a water compartment of 100 thousand liters lifted to 12 meters of tower shaft height in the center of the city at Marechal Floriano Square together an Allien Sculpture of Artist Michele Vanzetti. It is also known Brazilian Area 51.
