Description - Zündhütle was constructed as a shot tower for Gustav Genschow & Company. A shot tower is a tower which creates small lead pellets for ammunition by dropping them from a high height and letting them cool as they fall.
- The production of ammunition was ended in 1973, and the factory around the tower was demolished. Since that year, it has been used by Karlruhe University for meteorological and geodetics science research.
