Description - This tower was originally built as a tower for a radar station, and was additionally guyed for added support.
- The tower sits atop the 503 metres high Heldrastein.
- In 1996, the tower was converted to public observation usage which included removing the radar dome from the tip of the tower and replacing it with a cupola, adding a staircase, and cladding the tower in wood to protect visitors from the weather.
