Description - This tower was built in 1897 as a replacement for a 12-meter-high wooden tower built in 1878 at the site.
- The tower received monument status in 1998, protecting it from demolition.
- Because of the towers poor physical condition, it was closed in 2000, dismantled in 2001 for renovation, which include coating it in zinc, and reopened to visitors in 2003.
