- Architect: William H. Folsom

- The temple is constructed atop a snake-infested limestone quarry. In fact, the stone used in the facade of the temple is stone used for the quarry.

- The temple is designed in a Castellated gothic style of architecture, with French Renaissance/Second Empire features.

- The temple underwent and extensive renovation between 1981 and 1985.
