This television transmission mast is very close to Belgium, allowing Belgium to receive German television.
It sits atop Schwarzer Mann mountain, a 697.3 metre high mountain in the Schnee-Eifel range.

Originally 223 m tall, it was shortened to 105 m in 2011.
