• The broadcasters Dannenberg / Zernien is a transmitter of the North German Radio FM and TV (DVB-T) on the eastern outskirts of Zernien directly to the federal 191 located.

• It was at the time of its completion of one the tallest buildings in northern Germany. The transmitter sends the Wendland, the eastern Lüneburg Heath and parts of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Saxony-Anhalt with FM radio and the NDR bouquet 1+2 in the TV area. Due to the high geographical location and the high transmission power, it was time for the German division possible by large sections of the Channel DDR with Western broadcasting classes.

• The broadcaster Dannenberg / Zernien is often mistaken as a broadcaster or Hohenmechtin as broadcasters Dannenberg and often refers to the location of the former medium transmitter Dannenberg held. The latter was, however, in contrast to this plant, on the grounds of the community is Zernien, then go to district east of the hamlet Pisselberg.
