Description
- Richtfunkturm Helgoland is used for local broadcasting and for a directional radio link toward the main parts of Germany.

- The tower is unique in that it is a freestanding lattice tower with triangular cross sections, when most freestanding lattice towers have square cross sections.

- The tower is freestanding, but is also guyed for additional structural support.
