Description Domžale Radio Mast is used as the antenna of Slovenia's most powerful broadcasting station.
The original transmitter at the site was built in 1927 and upgraded in the 1930s, but destroyed during WWII. It was 120 m tall.
A second, 136 m tall transmitter was built in the early 1950s. It got replaced by the current transmitter in the late 1970s.
On July 2nd, 1991 the mast was hit during the Slovenian Independence War by three missiles of the Yugoslavian Army, but it did not collapse.
