Description - The New Frontier closed July 16, 2007 and was imploded on November 13, 2007 for a new resort that will resemble the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
- The hotel opened as a night club called Pair-O-Dice in 1930, renamed the Ambassador Night Club in 1936, then the 91 Club in 1939. The hotel was rebuilt in 1942 as the Hotel Last Frontier, renamed the New Frontier in 1955.
- The New Frontier has the destinction of being the place where Elvis Prestley first appeared in Las Vegas in 1956 and the final preformances of Diana Ross and The Supremes in 1970.
- Inside the New Frontier the Atrium Tower includes an open air atrium.
