The Basketball Team Los Angeles Lakers played at the Forum until the Staples Center opened in 2001, which is located in Downtown Los Angeles. Today mostly muisc concerts play at the Fourm.
The other names The Forum is known as is The Great Western Forum and the Los Angeles Forum.
-It was called the Great estern Fourm from 1988 - 2005, the original name was restored in 2005.
-Even though the Forum isn't in the City of Los Angeles, some people called the Forum the Los Angeles Forum although close to the city limits.
