Description
- Architect: George Washington Maher (Chicago)

- Length & Width (base): 10.1m x 10.1m

- This head frame is rare in that while it is built for mechanical use, the outside structure was decorative, as well.

- This head frame was designed as an Egyptian-styled obelisk, that is nearly identical to the Shaft A frame.

- With the completion of the "C" headframe in 1955, headframes A and B were shuttered.
