Description
- Contractor: Six Companies, Inc.

- 112 people died during the construction of the dam, 96 of those 112 died during construction at the site.

- Construction cost: $49 million, ($676 million adjusted for inflation).

- According to the Federal Highway Administration, Traffic cross the dam: 13,000 to 16,000 people each day.

- 8 to 10 million people visit Lake Mead and Hoover Dam yearly.= making the Lake Mead National Recreation Area is the fifth busiest U.S. national park.

- Hoover Dam provides power for Los Angeles, Phoenix, Las Vegas and surrounding suburban cities. The Dam generates 25% of Southern California's power, 23% of Nevada's power, and 18% of Arizona's power.

- The Project was called Boulder Dam from 1933 to 1947, when it was renamed Hoover Dam again.

- Added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 08, 1981, Designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark on August 20, 1985.
