- Along with mast 2, this is the tallest construction in France.

- Mast 1 was built in 1952. Its height was increased to 350 metres in 1974, making it to France's tallest construction.

- Allouis masts 1 and 2 have transmitted France Inter radio programs and standard time signals for AMDS since 1977.
