- Architect: Leonor Janeiro/Nick Jacobs/SOM

- Structural Engineer: Martifer

- Owner: Parque Expo

- The tower is named after famous Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama.

- The tower was built for the Expo 1998 World's Fair.

- The observation deck and the restaurant were closed in 2001, and the tower was unused until 2012 when a new 20-storey hotel, Myriad, was opened, constructed connected to the tower.
