- Xanadu Las Vegas was going to be built on the sight which is now home to the Excalibur Hotel and Casino, at 3850 South Las Vegas Blvd.
- The project was approved but suddenly construction plans were haulted it was discovered that the sewer lines in the area would not handle the output from such a large project.
