Description - Owner: National Grid Wireless
- Contractor: Marconi Company
- Lying just outside of the village of Wychbold along the M5 motorway, this tranmission station is the most powerful, long-wave transmission station of the BBC's.
- Along with its twin, Mast B, this tower is one half of a T-antenna suspended between the two towers.
- Unlike its twin, Mast B, this mast also functions as a mast radiator which radiates the BBC National Radio 5 mediumwave program at a power level of 150kW. Large insulators in the aerial keep it from interfering with the longwave T antenna.
