Description Architect: Jerde Partnership International
• The Bellagio was constructed on the site of the Dunes Hotel & Casino which operated from 1955 to 1993. The two towers were imploded in 1993 and 1994 with construction starting in 1995.
• Constructed at a cost of $1.6 billion, The Bellagio was the most expensive resort ever constructed at the time of completion.
• The design of the Bellagio towers use a common Las Vegas architectural design practice by making windows two or more stories high. This illusion is intended to make buildings appear closer to the street and encourage visitors to walk to the resort.
