The project was originally drifted to be compound by seven towers Designed as cuartz crystal forms in accordance to the kabalah, the highest reaching the 200 meters ( Mathias Goeritz, “Highway Sculpture: the Towers of Satelite City”, Leonardo , vol. 3, jul 1970, p. 321 ), but a reduction of the budget forced to redraw the group to only five towers, with the biggest measuring 57 meters and the minor 37 meters (Las Torres de Satélite, Daniel Garza Usabiaga, Anales del Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas UNAM, num 94, 2009, p. 140) .
