Description
• Architect: Oscar Menzel
• This structure was originally built from 1912-1915 as the a water tower, and stands in Hamburg's Stadtpark (City Park).
• Only 10 years after its completion, having become obsolete and only being used as a storage tower, Hamburg voted in 1925 to transform this structure into a planetarium. It was opened as a planetarium 30 April, 1930.
