Description Louis Sullivan designed this building with both pioneering modern style for the upper floors and an ornate entrance and street level facade.
This was Louis Sullivan's last majour work.
The building was built in several phases, and finished under rival architect Daniel Burnham following Sullivan's plans.
Originally the building had a cornice which was removed during a 1960s modernization, now there are plans to restore it.
